What We Do Each Week

Spark of the Day

A question, mystery, or hands-on prompt that gets kids curious and focused for the day’s adventure.

Explore + Investigate

Creek dipping, shelter building, habitat mapping, bug hunts - kids dive into real outdoor science and discovery.

Ecosystem Connection

Each week we highlight a nature concept and connect it to the landscape we’re exploring, giving kids a clear theme to follow.

Tuesdays, 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
6 week program starting April 1

Locations

Rotating Loveland and Fort Collins parks and natural areas. We’ll share the full location itinerary before the session starts - each site chosen for its unique ecosystem, from forests to ponds to meadows.

Yes - this is a drop-off program

Group Size

Small groups, usually 6–12 students, so every child gets attention

Cost

$250 per 6 week session

Weather

Classes run in light rain, snow, and sun.
If severe or dangerous weather is expected, we will move the class to a safer location or class will be canceled and moved to a makeup day

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to stay during the program?

No - this is a drop-off program. You’re welcome to stay for the first few minutes if your child needs a warm transition.

What if my child is shy or new to outdoor programs?

Totally fine. Our instructors specialize in helping kids feel comfortable, supported, and included at their own pace.

What about weather?

We run in light rain, snow, and sunshine. If truly dangerous weather is expected, we’ll move to a safer location or cancel class and add a makeup day.

Where will classes take place?

We rotate through local parks, natural areas, and trails. Families receive a full itinerary before the session starts.

How big are the groups?

Typically 6–12 students, small enough for every child to get attention and feel part of a community.

What should my child bring?

A backpack with water, snacks, weather-appropriate clothing, and curiosity! We’ll send a simple packing list before the first class.

What if we need to miss a day?

No problem. We don’t offer refunds for missed days, but we’ll always share what the group explored so you can try it at home.
